I am an Associate Professor of Economics at Middlebury College. I am a macroeconomist who researches U.S. labor markets and inequality. In my free time I enjoy skiing, and in 2021, I co-produced a feature-length documentary film.

Out in the May 2025 issue of AEA Papers and Proceedings, we report findings from a large field experiment where we persistently change incorrect beliefs about the racial composition of welfare and UI beneficiaries.
